On marketplace sites that use the “single catalog” feature, if a seller tries to upload a product with the same barcode as an existing listing, the system does not allow a duplicate upload and instead adds a copy of the existing product to the seller’s store. For copied products, the category, option names, attributes, and images cannot be changed by the seller. Seller-specific fields such as delivery time and option quantity appear in the seller panel and can be edited there. The single-catalog model is explained in detail in the description below. Feature description
On sites that use a single-catalog system, only one listing per barcode can exist on the site. When a seller wants to list a product that already exists on the site, the following workflow applies;
1- When the seller enters the barcode while uploading a product, the system checks existing listings. If a product with the same barcode was already uploaded, the seller sees an information/warning message similar to the screenshot.
2- If the seller entered the wrong barcode, they can enter the correct barcode and continue uploading.
3- If the barcode is correct, the system does not allow uploading that product as a new listing and directs the seller to enter price and stock for the existing product.
4- When the seller clicks the “Set price on product” button, the system opens the relevant product as in the screenshot and only allows editing fields specific to that seller’s offer: model number, main price, campaign price, stock quantity, and how many days until the product is handed to the carrier.
5- If the product has options with additional prices, the seller can go to the side tab and enter option values, option stock, and option prices. Screenshot
6- The listing created with the seller’s data is submitted for site owner approval and goes live after approval.
7- Products with the same barcode are merged on the site; all sellers’ prices are shown on the product page. Screenshot The customer can see other sellers’ prices for this product and complete the purchase.
8- To check whether their products exist on the site and pull them into their store, sellers can open the “Add product from site catalog” menu and find a product by name and barcode as in the screenshot .
9- They can click the “Sell in my store” button as in the screenshot, fill in price, stock, and other available fields, and after site owner approval sell the product in their store. When this feature is enabled on your site, additional technical support is required. Therefore, TRY 25,000 + VAT per year is added to the annual renewal service fee.
